Dolors Soler
Dr. Soler has a degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and she is Doctor in Neuroscience with the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She has a Master's degree in Neuropsychology (UB) in Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience (UAB) and a Master's degree in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (UB).
She has been working at the Neurorehabilitation Hospital of the Institut Guttmann since 1992, where she combines clinical practice with research and teaching. She is a specialist in psychosocial adaptation processes after a neurological injury, loss processes, life changes and stress management. She believes that being the mother of a daughter with a disability has enriched her professional work.
In recent years she has developed her expertise in the application of non-invasive brain stimulation techniques in neurological pain. Pain is a cause of great suffering and is still a pending issue for health systems. Author of various international publications on the treatment of chronic pain.
