Neurostimulation and Neuromodulation.
Promoting non-invasive cranial stimulation as an innovative tool for the diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies associated with spinal cord injury and brain injury, as well as for the improvement of brain health.
- Applying non-invasive stimulation techniques to optimise the plastic nature of the nervous system and its residual functional capacity caused by a lesion, inhibiting maladaptive changes and enhancing those that lead to situations of greater functionality.
- Promoting the development of innovative non-invasive brain stimulation clinical programmes for the treatment of pathologies associated with spinal and brain injuries (such as neuropathic pain, aphasia, depression, epilepsy and cognitive deficits), as well as the recovery of motor deficit.
- Developing and assessing innovative diagnostic and therapeutic clinical strategies with non-invasive brain stimulation as a tool, alone or with other strategies.
