Miguel Angel Torralba Jordan, professor at the University of Barcelona from 1984 to 2020, researcher, Doctor of Education Sciences and Graduate in Physical Education and Sports Sciences and National Athletics Coach, wrote his thesis on the Continuing Education of Physical Education teachers. He has published in recent years on Motor assessment in primary school students, Ecological alternative in the evaluation of the long jump of Paralympic athletes and Reasons for the sports practice of these athletes, Characteristics of the long jump of amputee athletes and Spatiotemporal characteristics of blind athletes.

He has directed several theses, including Spatial Perception in people with Myelomeningocele, Assessment of motor coordination in children with Down syndrome, Physiological and anthropometric assessment of people with visual impairment, The satisfaction of basic psychological needs towards exercise and Right in the Accessible City: public space and social inclusion in the context of leisure and sport.

He has presented communications at more than 20 conferences, on topics such as Ecological assessment of Paralympic sport, Biomechanical parameters of athletic sport, Body composition and somatotype of athletes with disabilities and Assessment of motor coordination. It is also worth highlighting his participation in the development of Paralympic sport in Spain, attending 9 Paralympic Games as a coach with the Spanish team from the Barcelona 1992 Games to Paris 2024 and currently also coordinator of athletics for the Catalan Federation of Sports for the Blind.
