The 2nd edition of Camp Spinal H20 has ended after a week of activities
The International Campus, organized by the Institut Guttmann together with the Sunnaas Foundation of Norway, has finished today Surely it has been an unforgettable experience for the participants, all of them young people with spinal cord injury from the Nordic countries, the Baltic countries and Catalonia. They could share a few days of sports, learning and coexistence.
From August 29th to September 4th many activities have been developed in Barcelona, Badalona and Torredembarra, generally set in a maritime environment, taking advantage of the Mediterranean climate and including different water activities such as paddle surfing, wake, jet ski, diving, swimming , sailing or kayak.
The aquatic offer has been complemented with other sports activities such as flaskball and blokart; as well as educational activities of training in the handling of the chair and cultural visits to the city of Barcelona. The initiative has been possible thanks to the special collaboration of entities such as the Catalan Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities, Metropolitan Transport of Barcelona, Marina Badalona, Club Natació Atlètic Barceloneta and HSA Spain, as well as expert instructors and athletes from elite Paralympians, who are old patients or part of the satff of the Institut Guttmann.
