El proyecto de investigación para la Salud Cerebral del Institut Guttmann en colaboración con la Obra Social La Caixa continúa avanzando y profundizando en la investigación. El Comité de Asesores Científicos del proyecto se reunió el pasado miércoles en el Institut Guttmann con el equipo de trabajo para discutir sobre la metodología y la evolución del estudio de salud cerebral en la fase actual.

 

Miembros de las universidades de Cambridge, Columbia, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, California -Los Angles, Oslo, Estocolmo y Pompeu Fabra y miembros del Centro de Regulación Genómica, del Hospital Clínico, del Colegio Oficial de Farmacéuticos y del Instituto de Investigación en Inteligencia Artificial del CSIC estuvieron presentes. Entre otros temas, también se debatió sobre los criterios de inclusión en las diferentes fases del proyecto y de la posibilidad de extender la cohorte. Sobre las pruebas presenciales con los voluntarios, la discusión se centró en la periodicidad de la repetición de las pruebas y en cuanto a la intervención, los miembros del comité asesor, propusieron diversas formas de implementación para conseguir mejores resultados. También se valoró la posible colaboración con otras cohortes europeas.

 

Tras la reunión, la visita de los expertos y científicos finalizó con una presentación de las instalaciones hospitalarias del Institut Guttmann.

 

The research project for Brain Health of the Institut Guttmann in collaboration with Obra Social La Caixa advances and deeps in the investigation. The Scientific Advisory Committee of the project met last Wednesday at the Institut Guttmann with the work team to discuss the methodology and evolution of the brain health study in the current phase.

Members of the universities of Cambridge, Columbia, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, California - Los Angles, Oslo, Stockholm and Pompeu Fabra and members of the Center for Genomic Regulation, the Hospital Clínic, the Official College of Pharmacists and the The Institute of Research in Artificial Intelligence of the CSIC participated at the meeting. Among other topics,  they discussed about the inclusion criteria in different phases of the project and the possibility of extending the cohort. On the face-to-face tests with the volunteers, the discussion focused on the frequency of repetition of the tests and in terms of intervention, the members of the advisory committee proposed various forms of implementation in order to achieve better results. Possible collaboration with other European cohorts was also valued.

 

After the meeting, the visit of the experts and scientists ended with a presentation of the hospital facilities of the Institut Guttmann.
