The Institut Guttmann Foundation incorporates Professor Álvaro Pascual-Leone into its clinical team to promote the Guttmann Brain Health Institute initiative in the new Guttmann Barcelona building.
Álvaro Pascual-Leone, neurologist and professor at Harvard Medical School is today the most cited Spanish neuroscientist in current scientific literature, considered one of the most influential scientists in the world. The knowledge and scientific leadership of Álvaro Pascual-Leone in the field of cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, together with the experience and trajectory of the Institut Guttmann in the field of Neurorehabilitation, will make the Guttmann Brain Health Institute (GBHI) initiative , recently opened in Barcelona, become an international benchmark in the treatment of problems associated with neurological and neuropsychiatric injuries and diseases, and also in brain health.
Guttmann Brain Health Institute will offer specialized programs for the treatment of people with dementia, Alzheimer's and other cognitive and behavioral disorders through non-invasive brain stimulation treatments; as well as programs for the promotion of brain health that help those who so wish, prevent cognitive deterioration due to age, dementia, memory problems, Parkinson's disease, depression, anxiety and other neurological disorders functional.
