The PARTICIPA project held the first meeting of its Reference Group on December 1st, whose main objective was to develop the qualitative research of the project and gather information about the experience of the volunteers to define new lines of action.

The meeting was held in Guttmann Barcelona and was attended by the whole team and a group of 13 volunteers, selected according to different criteria to ensure the diversity of the sample. During the session, which lasted 3 hours, the attendees were informed about the current situation of the project and a participative dynamic was organised to capture their opinion on different topics. Through an interactive virtual tool and discussion with the participants, the team received feedback on the way the research is carried out -such as the format and contents of the questionnaires-, the themes of the forum or the communication channels of the project.

In addition, participants gave their opinions on what they would like to see done with the results of the study, offered ideas for expanding the cohort and, in general, engaged in a very enriching debate that will allow further research on the barriers and facilitators that determine the daily lives of people with disabilities.
