This summer the activities of Sports & Life Guttmann Club have continued, with great participation and a great desire to take advantage of the sun and the good weather!

 

On August 2nd, once again a group of people with disabilities accompanied by family and friends, moved to Torredembarra to enjoy an open sea scuba baptism, where Onawa, a fully accessible and equipped catamaran with an hydraulic platform that allows users to enter and exit the water without any inconvenience, carried them in, where each participant made diving individually with an instructor.

 

Now, all those who want to immerse themselves in this discipline in a more specialized way, can already sign up for the diving course that will start the next 12th September and that will be used to acquire the Open Water qualification, 1st level of diving.

 

On July 20th another group enjoyed an initiation activity at the adapted classical dressage at the Raul Pínteño horse riding club of Girona, with the collaboration of the Royal Spanish Horse Federation. The individual sessions with each one of the users were led by the prestigious FEI consultant, Patricia Nadaux. 

 

Adapted classical dressage is a Paralympic discipline since 1996 and in addition to the physical benefits that this sports practice brings, it is perfect for recovering personal skills such as trust and self-confidence face the challenge of living with a disability.
