Hon. Ms Montserrat Tura
With sincere thanks to the Institut Guttmann, for all your work throughout an already long history, for your realistic hopes, for saving people from despair.
On my visit today, on 7 April, International Health Day, devoted to the modern epidemic of road accidents.
Having visited the magnificent facilities, I have reaffirmed my conviction that cars are a symbol of freedom and well-being, but that their misuse makes them a danger. On the road, the price paid in the form of human lives each year is extremely high, but it is even higher when you take into account all those half-lives that are left on the road, the half-lives of the injured and their families. The existence of this Institute that manages to shine light on the future and give life to half-life, to make it whole again, is therefore so important.
With admiration,
