Ibainéfico 2023 from Ibai Llanos destined for the Institut Guttmann Foundation
This year, the seventh edition of Ibainéfico, a solidarity event organized by Ibai Llanos, has been allocated to the Institut Guttmann Foundation. A live program on the Twitch platform on Friday night served to publicize our Foundation. The sports pavilion of the Neurorehabilitation Hospital in Badalona became a set where Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué, together with the presidents of the teams that would play the 7-a-side football tournament according to the rules of the Kings League, and people linked to the Institut Foundation Guttmann were able to chat about the mission of our organization for the comprehensive care of people with disabilities of neurological origin.
The co-directors of the Institut Guttmann Foundation, Dr Montserrat Bernabeu and Ms. Montse Caldés, welcomed the team to the hospital facilities and presented the Guttmann's Heart initiative, a project for the renovation of the rehabilitation area, in order to make it the most advanced in Europe. Personalities such as Gerard Piqué, DJMaRiiO, Marina Rivers and many players from Kings and Queens themselves participated in the tournament over the weekend at the Cupra Arena. The solidarity of the community on the internet and the support of streamers and content creators for the project have made it possible for Ibainéfico to be a success.
On Twitch alone, Friday's Draft garnered almost 740,000 views, Saturday's tournament 2.5M views and Sunday, for the grand final, 2.2M views. We are very grateful to Ibai Llanos and everyone who has participated, for helping us make the Foundation known to so many people and for the financial endowment that will help us make the improvement of the rehabilitation area a reality, improving the capacity and quality of the care, optimizing the results of neurorehabilitation and promoting research and innovation, all in order to improve the satisfaction and quality of life of our patients.
