The Institut Guttmann collaborates in a prevention campaign for minors with Abertis and UNICEF
The Institut Guttmann will participate in the Global Road Safety campaign promoted by UNICEF and Abertis, which aims to implement prevention programs for children in road accidents in developing countries. It is estimated that annually there are approximately 500,000 deaths of minors produced in different types of displacements and about 600,000 spinal cord injuries.
The Institut Guttmann will collaborate contributing its expertise in this area and will displace multidisciplinary care teams formed by professionals such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and psychologists to bring our knowledge to the professionals of the area in those medical practices of the core patients. The project will be launched, initially, in the Philippines and Jamaica during 2018, and is part of the development of the social activity of the Institut Guttmann focused on the field of prevention and awareness.
