The Institut Guttmann is committed to brain health and disability prevention for the XXXII edition of the Technical Symposia
This year, coinciding with the celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Institut Guttmann, the XXXII edition of the Technical Symposia entitled "Brain health for life: prevention of brain-related disabilities" will be held on the 15th and 16th December and will be in online format and with an innovative B2B approach that aims to create a meeting point between investors and entrepreneurs and to promote the generation, exchange and development of new projects related to brain health and disability prevention.
Brain diseases pose a major global threat to public health and the sustainability of societies, and already represent the leading cause of lifelong disability.
These conferences led by the neurologist Álvaro Pascual-Leone, director of the Guttmann Brain Health Institute, aim to provide solutions to challenges such as What can we do to improve our brain health and live better? How can we promote resilience and cognitive reserve to achieve this? The Symposia will analyze, with renowned researchers, what modifiable lifestyles influence brain health and how we can develop personalized interventions using technologies to make these interventions more efficient, ecological, sustainable, fun and turning them into clinical services of the XXI century, always focused on the person.
In addition to the conferences, this year there will be an innovation space with presentation sessions for companies and projects, as well as time dedicated to networking with opportunities for meetings between entrepreneurs and companies of investors and international capitals.
The event, which will be entirely in English, is organized by the Institut Guttmann together with Biocat and "la Caixa" Foundation and has the collaboration of the Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Barcelona, Meditecnologia i Medicen Paris, and will be organized within the framework by B · Debate.
