Coinciding with the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Institut Guttmann Foundation, the director in Catalonia of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR), Ms. Eva Subirà, delivered the AENOR SR-0104-ES and IQNet SR10 certifications to the Institut Guttmann in recognition of its socially responsible management.

The president of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Francesc Homs and the hospital director, Dr. Josep M. Ramírez, received the certifications that certify that the Institut Guttmann Foundation has a social responsibility management system in the following activities:

• Promote and achieve the integral rehabilitation of people affected by spinal cord injury, brain damage acquired or another disability of neurological origin.

• Hospital specializing in the medical and surgical treatment and the integral rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injury, brain damage acquired or other major neurological disability.

• Research and teaching in this area of ​​neuroscience.

• Offer patients the most appropriate supports and services to achieve a satisfactory social reintegration, as well as the contribution to the full recognition of their rights and an effective equalization of opportunities.
