This Sunday September 20th the Institut Guttmann took part in the great festival of fitness, organized by the Barcelona Sports Institute (IBE), that on the occasion of the Festes de la Mercè took place in the Avenida de la Reina Maria Cristina of Barcelona.

Under the name of Fitness Day, the fitness session on the street that has the main objective of promoting the sport among citizens, and it wanted to be, once again, inclusive, and demonstrate that people with disabilities can also participate in the sport.

The Institut Guttmann made the party more accessible to the disabled, advising monitors to create choreography with an universal design, also for people with wheelchair. Two former hospital patients participated from the stage, sharing the space with other technical staff. They showed that worldwide, within its capabilities can enjoy sport and that physical activity can be adapted to different people.
