The team of professionals at the Institut Guttmann joins in the celebration of International Women's Day with the conviction of contributing to a fairer and more egalitarian society in which women occupy the positions of responsibility to which they are entitled.

In fact, last April, the Institut Guttmann became the first organisation in the Catalan health sector with a shared management model with two women at the head, Dr. Montserrat Bernabeu and Ms. Montse Caldés, who combine the co-direction with the Care Management and Management, respectively. Both lead a team of more than 500 professionals who are leaders in the fields of care, science, teaching and social Neurorehabilitation, Neuroscience and Brain Health, attending around 5,000 patients a year.

In addition, 78% of the management team at the Institut Guttmann is composed of women who lead the areas of Nursing, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Neuropsychology and Communication and 65% of the staff is made up of women from various professions such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Neuropsychology, Assistants and Administrative and Service staff.
