The new Guttmann Barcelona building will open its doors this Sunday at 48h Open House Barcelona
For the second year, the Institut Guttmann Foundation joins the 48h Open House Barcelona initiative, an architecture festival in which different spaces and emblematic buildings in Barcelona open its doors.
The new Guttmann Barcelona building, in La Sagrera neighborhood, is considered of architectural interest and will be open to guided tours this Sunday, October 27th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
It is a hybrid building that contains, on the one hand, a set of apartments -Guttmann Barcelona Life- for the development and promotion of an independent life model for people with disabilities and / or reduced mobility, and, on the other, the neuroclinic Guttmann Brain Health Institute that offers diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders and a specialized, integral and personalized neurorehabilitation service.
The new building is designed, from the beginning of the project, with an inclusive architecture (apartments that respond to criteria of universal accessibility) and sustainable (from an economic, social and environmental perspective).
With this new project, the Institut Guttmann Foundation works actively for the 11 Objective of Sustainable Development established by the United Nations Global Compact, "Cities and Sustainable Communities." One more step in the commitment of the institution with the people and with the city of Barcelona, contributing to make it more accessible, inclusive, resilient and sustainable.
We're waiting for you at Guttmann Barcelona!
