The members of the Board of Trustees and the Social and Participation Council of the Institut Guttmann have made their first visit to the Guttmann Barcelona building. The new facility, located at the site of the old hospital in the La Sagrera neighborhood, include two well differentiated initiatives; On the one hand, Guttmann Barcelona Life, the apartments that have been designed especially for the promotion of independent life; On the other hand, the Guttmann, NeuroPersonalClinic (GNPC), a space dedicated to specialized and personalized neurorehabilitation treatments, and which is part of the future neuroclinical Brain Health Institute.

 

The visit to the works, which are already close to completion, have served all those present to get a more than approximate idea of ​​the new environment in which the Institut Guttmann will continue to develop its welfare work (with the Neuroclinic and GNPC); but very especially, the apartments for the promotion of independent life, Guttmann Barcelona Life. This last project is promoted with the will to take a step further towards the promotion and improvement of the autonomy of people with disabilities.

 

At the end of the visit to the facilities, a meeting took place, which showed the complicity of all the parties involved in the project, which, according to the forecasts, will be launched next October.
