President Puigdemont visited the Institut Guttmann in his first official visit to the city of Badalona and on the occasion of the 50 years the institution has been working for people with neurological disabilities.

During the visit, the President was accompanied by the Minister of Health, Antoni Comin; the Minister of Employment, Social Affairs and Family, Dolors Bassa; the mayor of Badalona, ​​Dolors Sabater and the government delegate of the Generalitat in Barcelona, ​​Miguel Angel Escobar, who have held a working meeting with the Board of Trustees members, the Social Participation Council, and the management team of the Institut Guttmann.

Then the authorities have done a tour of the hospital facilities where the President took the opportunity to greet patients and families. The visit ended in the functional rehabilitation area, where the President has thanked the work carried out by the Institut Guttmann these 50 years as a benchmark in their specialty and stressed its uniqueness within the Catalan health system.
