The international projection of the Institut Guttmann makes it possible to establish strategic alliances with health organizations and international insurers that favor the arrival of patients from all over the world to receive specialized care and neurorehabilitation treatment, at the same time strengthening Catalonia's position as a tractor of medical excellence.

Two international actions took place last week. First, we travelled to Uzbekistan on a mission organized in collaboration with ACCIÓ and the Barcelona Medical Destination (BMD) initiative. The Institut Guttmann participated in the UzMedExpo fair with companies in the health sector, as well as in institutional visits to health authorities and local clinics to present its expertise as a center of high complexity in our field of knowledge.

On the other hand, the Institut Guttmann Neurorehabilitation Hospital received last Friday the visit of HE Ahmed Mohamed Almessabi, head of the Embassy of the Arab Emirates in Madrid. During the visit to the center's facilities, he had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the specialized treatments and services we offer, as well as to visit two patients from the United Arab Emirates who are currently admitted to the center.
