The solidarity monologues of Egara Cops Walkers raise 7,395€.
On Thursday 2 March, the 8th edition of the Solidarity Night of monologues organised by the Egara Cops Walkers Association took place at the Terrassa Cultural Factory. The event was attended by nearly 500 people who paid for their tickets and raised €7,395, which will go to The Heart of Guttmann project at the Neurorehabilitation Hospital.
There were almost 3 hours of laughter in which the comic Toni Cano, as master of ceremonies, introduced the rest of the monologuists who very generously did not get paid that night, in order to be able to dedicate the entire revenue of the event to our project. Dr. Montserrat Bernabeu, co-director and care director of the Institut Guttmann, addressed a few words at the beginning of the gala, expressing her heartfelt thanks for the altruistic gesture that the city of Terrassa has made to our institution. He explained that with this donation they allow us to carry out unique projects that make the Hospital a reference centre in the neurorehabilitation of people who have suffered a neurological disability. And very specifically, one of the most emblematic projects of our institution as The Heart of Guttmann, the transformation of the Functional Rehabilitation Area.
Egara Cops Walkers is a solidarity organisation made up of members of the Terrassa Local Police Force with whom the Institut Guttmann has been actively collaborating for some time with accident prevention and road safety awareness programmes such as Game Over.
