Success of the Second Conference on Rare Diseases
On the occasion of the World Day of Rare Diseases, also called minority, the Institut Guttmann in collaboration with the Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol have celebrated one more year its Seminar on Rare Neuromuscular Diseases to explain part of what is being done in regarding the care of these patients.
The welcome was in charge of representatives of the Institut Guttmann and Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol, accompanied by Dr. Cristina Nadal, representing CatSalut, and Mrs. Teresa González, First Deputy Mayor of the Badalona City Council.
The day was developed with more than 60 attendees and in three exhibition and debate tables. The first table was about the situation of Rare Diseases in the health system; in the second table different professional profiles shared the challenges of the multidisciplinary approach of these pathologies, and finally, the third table put the focus on research and the latest innovations in this area.
All of this demonstrated that alliances and multidisciplinary work are key axes for better health care for people suffering from these pathologies.
