The Institut Guttmann have recently purchased some new Virtual Reality equipment for cognitive and motor training after stroke, traumatic brain injury and other pathologies and neurological processes.
Virtual Reality is a technology that could have an important impact on people lives, its use as a therapy offers a great potential that expose the patients to realist situations and train them on different activities they will front it in their normal life, once they leave the hospital. The interest point of Virtual Reality increase motivation of patients and facilitates the work of therapists, allowing integrate cognitive aspects with movement, coordination or balance.
