The Conseller de Salut, Honorable Mr. Josep M. Argimon, visited the Institut Guttmann, Neurorehabilitation hospital, last Friday, July 9, accompanied by Mrs. Montse Morante, head of Cabinet and Mrs. Anna Aran, manager of the North Barcelona Health Region of the SCS. The reason for the visit was to get to know our institution and the work we do as a Neurorehabilitation Monographic Center.

The Councillor, accompanied by Sr. Antoni Esteve, president of the Board of Trustees; Mrs. Montse Caldés and Dr. Montse Bernabeu, co-director of the Institut Guttmann, took a tour of the main facilities and later met with a team of professionals from different fields. During the meeting, the role of the Institut Guttmann as a Reference Center in the treatment of complex spinal cord injury, unique in Catalonia, was highlighted; as well as the experience and the great concentration of cases, which turns us into a highly innovative center of excellence with a series of care programs, which emphasize the need for the Care Continuum of our patients, which go beyond of hospitalization, such as home intervention programs or community programs.​
