Un cap de setmana solidari amb el Cor de Guttmann

El Cor de Guttmann initiative, to build the most advanced Functional Rehabilitation Area in Europe, received great support last weekend with different solidarity proposals organized by people and entities that trust and bet on the mission and vision of the Institut Guttmann.

On Friday, May 3, a charity tattoo day organized by Cristina from Blonde Girl Tattoo took place in Figueres. Cristina is the mother of a child undergoing child rehabilitation at the hospital, and as a thank you she decided to organize a solidarity evening. They offered tattoos, haircuts and make-up and all the funds raised, 3,100€, will go to the project.

On Saturday, el Cor de Guttmann was present at the Asparagus Fair in Gavà. This year, the municipal police of Gavà are celebrating their 100-year history, and they have organized a series of solidarity activities throughout 2024, with the aim of raising funds for our project. We wanted to accompany them in this very important party in their town to celebrate with them and to publicize the project with which they have linked their centenary.

On Sunday, the 5th edition of the Mossos de Badalona Solidarity Walk took place. Nearly 300 male and female swimmers took part around the Pont del Petroli, and among them, a group of patients and former patients who were accompanied by professionals from the Guttmann Institute and volunteers from the Triatletas Solidarios organization.

It was the first inclusive edition: three different routes were organized so that everyone could choose the one that best suited their needs. It was a great success and €4,068 was raised which will go to El Cor de Guttmann.

We thank the Mossos de Badalona for the great initiative and especially the technical director of the crossing, Mateo López. We also appreciate the collaboration of the Zurich Foundation, Proactiva, Triatletas Solidarios and Club Natació Badalona.
