Yesterday started the Youth Ability Camp, a summer campus organized by the Institut Guttmann where 16 young people between 10 and 18 years old participate, all of them patients of the Institut Guttmann with acquired brain damage and cerebral palsy.

Until June 28, they will enjoy sports and cultural activities such as a visit to the Museum of Natural Sciences, tennis, paddle surfing, volleyball, etc., and they will work on therapeutic aspects related to cognitive rehabilitation such as memory, the planning of tasks and the organization of activities in daily life.

During 4 days the patients will be accompanied by physical education teachers, neuropsychologists and physiotherapists of the Institut Guttmann and the Sunnass Hospital of Norway, as well as other expert instructors, Master students of the Institut Guttmann University Institute and former patients of the hospital.

The campus, which has the support of the Johan Cruyff Foundation, has its base in the Barcelona International Sailing Center, and the different activities in the Forum Park, the Real Polo Club in Barcelona, ​​the Museum of Natural Sciences in Barcelona and the Atlètic Barceloneta Swimming Club.
