Language determines everything in our lives: the way we relate to people, how we understand the world or how we feel and express ourselves. But in some cases this ability is impaired. It is estimated that around 7% of the population suffers from a Developmental Language Disorder, in which language becomes a messy filing cabinet, a rain of falling words that those affected are unable to put in order. We will meet Lucas and Raquel, his mother, to talk about the detection and treatment of this disorder.
