Dr. Figueroa has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Chile (2007), with his degree being approved in Spain in 2011. He is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the Germans Trias y Pujol Hospital (2017) and holds an international master’s degree in Senior Business Management in Health from the European University of Madrid and Chile’s Andrés Bello University.
After working as a general practitioner and head of the emergency service in hospitals in Chile, he developed his specialisation in Spain with training as a specialist and practising as a rehabilitation physician at the Josep Trueta Hospital. He was head of the Rehabilitation Service at the Hospital de Palamós, and since 2020 he has worked as a rehabilitation physician and Deputy Medical Director at the Institut Guttmann.
He is an expert in the treatment of pain and spasticity in neurological patients, and an expert in musculoskeletal ultrasound. He obtained a postgraduate degree in internal medicine from the University of Chile.
