In 1998 I had an accident at work and as a consequence, a spinal cord injury. My time at the Institut Guttmann not only helped me to be able to function without problems with the wheelchair, to learn how my body works now and to know how to take care of myself, but it also taught me new values and about a culture of effort, especially thanks to the sport that I started practising when I was a patient. And I had a new goal in my life, something that I thought I had lost when I had the accident.
My goal was: To have a happy and fulfilling life. Thanks to what I have learned at the Institut Guttmann, I can say that I am happy!
