Esther Udina

Esther Udina holds a degree in Medicine and a PhD in Neurosciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is a professor at the Medical Physiology Unit of the same university, with almost 20 years of teaching experience and 24 years of experience in basic research, focused on investigating nerve regeneration and plastic changes associated with traumatic injuries to the nervous system in animal models. She has more than 60 published articles, 35 communications in national or international conferences, an H index of 32, 2700 citations and has obtained 5 competitive projects as principal investigator. She has supervised 11 doctoral theses, 7 with international mention, and is currently directing 4 more. She has been coordinator of the neuroscience master's degree for 3 years, coordinator of the second year of medicine for 7 years and is currently secretary of the coordination of the Basic Medical Sciences Unit.
