With the slogan "Do not stop, today we save lives", the Mayor of Badalona city and the sports journalist Manu Sánchez gave the start of the first "Ponle Freno" race of the year 2019 that was celebrated for the first time in a city of Catalonia.

The popular race, held this year in Badalona, ​​has dedicated this time the collection to the Institut Guttmann and its projects for victims of traffic accidents, which, as explained by the director of the hospital , Dr. Josep M Ramírez will be "clinical therapeutic programs that allow improving cognitive functions related to road safety and driving to reduce their risk of accidents and which will be subjected to between 100 and 200 volunteers."

The race was a success with almost 3,000 runners and it was possible to perform in 2 5 and 10km routes, also in handbike mode and with different children's races.

A Sports & Life Guttmann Club team signed up for the race in which, besides enjoying courage, some of them even podiumed.
