On the occasion of my visit to your Institute, I express my admiration for your work and willingness to collaborate to improve the integration of people with disabilities in the workplace and improve their quality of life, by giving them equal opportunities. Congratulations!
In politics one must know how to take on innovative challenges, in this case aimed at people with disabilities in San Sebastián Guipúzcoa. And the truth is that the Institut Guttmann is a benchmark example. I am confident that we have the will and the support to have a leisure and sports rehabilitation space for our citizens.
I am overjoyed to visit the facilities of Fundación Institut Guttmann, because they demonstrate the merit, worth, effort, authority and excellence of a magnificent team. Seeing their cases, the eyes of the patients, their care for them, the satisfaction of working in an institution that they can “make their own”... That is how things work! That is how they maintain the excellence they have...
My appreciation to the Institut Guttmann for its outstanding work in the field of health and social care for the comprehensive rehabilitation of people with disabilities caused by spinal cord injuries or acquired brain injuries. I truly hope to continue our collaboration in the field of research and innovation, without forgetting the values we share: solidarity and dignity.
We encourage Institut Guttmann to continue with its activities ,and, above all, we hope that this visit will serve to initiate the first cooperation agreement with the Government of Andorra.
